An Open and Affirming Congregation
Connecting Our Community
April 10, 2017
We want you to know more about what is going on during Phase I of the Connecting Our Community $2,500,000 capital campaign. The campaign co-chairs, Hector Casas and Mercie Normand, have been hard at work, along with campaign volunteers to create compelling and informative literature about the campaign. From April through June, all First Parish members and friends will be receiving this information in the mail, along with a personal invitation to participate in the campaign.
In the next several weeks, volunteers from First Parish will start calling on members and friends to schedule a visit. This will be a wonderful opportunity for connection, conversation and input about the campaign and a time for pledge commitments. All pledges are confidential and can be paid over a period of three years. We will honor gifts of all sizes and hope that everyone will consider a gift to the campaign according to your heart’s call and your financial capabilities. This campaign is an exciting opportunity for each of us to reach out to impact the present and touch the future in a spirit of generosity!
The Design/Build Team continues to work with Scott Simons Architects to fine-tune proposed designs for each project. The Design/ Build Team will update the congregation about proposed plans and revisions as information is available.
Mark your calendars for April 30th when we will host a campaign kick-off celebration immediately after worship! Make plans to join the campaign committee for a time of food, balloons, hard-hat tours of the proposed project sites, a scavenger hunt and other fun events.
