First Parish Church - Installation of Mary Baard as Senior Pastor
The members of First Parish church are very fortunate and pleased to welcome Mary Baard as the Senior Minister for First Parish Church.

On Sunday, May 10, 2009, the congregation, by unanimous voice vote, called the Reverend Mary E. Baard to serve as Senior Pastor beginning Fall 2009. Rev. Baard has served as Associate Pastor at First Parish since 2004. A Maine native, Rev. Baard was born in Damariscotta, grew up in Waldoboro, graduated from Medomak Valley High School and the University of Southern Maine, and taught high school mathematics at Dexter High School. Rev. Baard carries on family traditions of education and service: her parents, Charles and Jeanne Begley, were public school educators and each served in the state legislature. Rev. Baard’s mother lives in Waldoboro.

Rev. Baard was formally installed as Senior Pastor in September 2009. Welcome Mary!
