Help Installing the Adobe Acrobat Reader Program

Sermons and past issues of the Pilgrims Progress newsletter are stored in Adobe PDF format. If you are having
trouble viewing these files, you most likely do not have the Adobe Acrobat
Reader program installed.
Below, you will find instructions on how to download and install the free Adobe Reader program. These instructions are for
computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system.
To start the download process, please click here.

STEP 1
After clicking the above link, you will be brought to the Adobe web site. You will need to
fill out a form to indicate your language, operating system platform and connection speed. You
can download either the basic or full installation. Either version will allow you to read the PDF files
on the firstparish.net web site.
After filling out the form, click the download button.

STEP 2
Your computer will now bring up a file download window asking you what you want to do with
the file you just requested. Click the Save button.

STEP 3
After clicking the save button, you computer will ask you where you want to save the file.
The easiest place is on your desktop. Click the Desktop icon then click the
Save button.
Depending on your connection speed, this file may take a while to download. Please be patient.

STEP 4
After the download is done, close all of your active windows to get back to your desktop.
You should see a file icon on your screen that looks like what is shown to the right. Double-click
on this icon to start the installation process.

STEP 5
Once the installation process is started, you will see a series of screens like the one that
is shown to the right. Keep clicking the Next or Install on each screen to proceed
with the installation.
When the installation is complete, you will get a confirmation screen that the installation was successful.
That's it! Adobe Acrobat reader is now installed on your system. At this point, you can go back
to www.firstparish.net and click on the links to view the
sermons and Pilgrim's Progress issues.
