First Parish Church School Program
Our goal in Church School is that each child know how fully and unconditionally he/she is loved by God and to explore ways to respond to that love and share it in this time and place.

3rd graders selling coffee for El Salvador Church School is the same time as worship. Classes are in Pilgrim House, the brick building on Cleaveland Street, kitty corner behind the church. During the summer months we have Summer Along during worship; children age 3-12 meet in the backyard of Pilgrim House for the entire hour for games, crafts and stories (inside in rainy weather). Nursery is provided for those age 2 and younger.

Children from Nursery through Kindergarten ages come to Pilgrim House before the service. Their classrooms are located downstairs.

Those in grades one through 12 begin worship with their families and then come across the street to Pilgrim House for classes following the children's moment. Classes are located through out the building.

Children are engaged in a variety of topics: Biblical stories, current day applications, love & acceptance of all people, mission and outreach, occasional worship participation, communion and baptism study, fellowship and fun. Our curriculum is based on the multiple intelligences theory that each of us learn in different ways and so need a variety of activities and approaches to engage us fully.

Church School begins on September 9. Contact Susan Fitzgerald, Director of Chrisitan Education for more information. Email sfitzgerald@firstparish.net or call her at the church office Mondays through Thursdays, 9am-2pm 729-7331.
