Ann's Spirituality Library February 2025 Article

Because of our present sermon series on loneliness and the importance of “in person” community combined with the additional stress that many people are feeling, you might find some comfort and peace by borrowing a book from our church’s lending library in the parlor of Pilgrim House. Please use the notebook on the shelf to record your name, the book title that you are borrowing and the date.

Our featured book from our collection this month is Mystical Hope by Cynthia Bourgeault. Dr. Bourgeault is an Episcopal priest who studied and taught in a number of Benedictine monasteries in the U.S. and Canada and is also recognized for her work in the Wisdom School helping people learn about centering prayer and use chanting as another way to deepen their spirituality body and heart and to get them “out of their heads.” Whether you decide to read this book or not, you will likely benefit if you google her name and listen to one or more of her short videos.

Blessings to you and your family as you grow in your faith journey.
