From our REOPENING TASK FORCE
We have begun the limited and safe reopening of Pilgrim House and our outdoor property for in-person meetings and events. These spaces are available for committee meetings and church events.
Event leaders will be responsible for scheduling the meeting/events through the Event Coordinator (Todd Rider: email@example.com), prior to the meeting. The Event Leader will also be responsible for the setup and cleanup of the event/meeting.
There are also protocols for all attendees regarding COVID questionnaires, contact tracing, mask wearing, and social distancing that must be followed. Please read the documents at the following links:
It is also important to note that the Sanctuary and all other parts of the Church are still closed at this time.
We have worked hard to reopen in a safe, well planned, and orderly manner that follows the guidance from the Federal & Maine CDC. We appreciate your understanding and support.
If you have any questions that are not addressed in our protocols document, do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
to First Parish Church!
we look forward to
First Parish Church is open to everyone and welcomes participation in the full life, leadership, and ministry of the Church. We are a diverse congregation. We welcome persons of any race, gender, ethnic origin, mental or physical ability, religious tradition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and economic circumstances. We affirm that the love of Christ for each person knows no bounds.
Who we are as a church can be summed up in our Church Covenant:
In the presence of God and each other,
We promise to do justice;
Following in the way of Jesus,
we seek to act on our deep respect
for the sacredness of each individual
and of all creation.
We promise to love kindness;
Inspired by the Spirit,
we vow to forgive often,
and to sustain one another
through life’s challenges, joys, and sorrows.
We promise to walk humbly with God;
Through worship, prayer, and service,
we journey together with the Living God
whose power is revealed—
and yet to be revealed—
in each of us and in all of us.
