Ann's Spirituality Library May Article
Hopefully your yard and gardens are raked after the winter and you are enjoying all of the plants that are emerging to greet us once again. What a miracle it is each May to see all of the plant life opening up before our eyes. Aside from taking walks, working in your garden or just relaxing outside, it might be time to borrow a book or two from our church’s lending library. By using the checkout notebook on the shelf, you can indicate your name and the name(s) of the book(s) that you are borrowing.
This month’s featured book from our library is one written a few years ago by Anne Lamott. Awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship, she is the author of several books including Thanks, Help, WOW and Hallelujah Anyway. Stitches, a short 98-page book, combines practical insights along with Anne’s usual humor to help us look at ways that we stitch our lives back together when it has been frayed.
